Description For Software Engineer (Platform)

Brigit, a leading fintech company recognized by Built In, Fast Company, and Forbes, is seeking a Software Engineer (Platform) to join their Developer Experience (DevX) team. This role is perfect for a generalist platform engineer who enjoys solving developer-facing problems across the stack. The position focuses on building internal tools and systems that enable developers to work efficiently and confidently.

The role combines infrastructure, tooling, and developer workflows, working on internal platforms spanning build and deploy tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and local development environments. While the work emphasizes infrastructure and internal tooling, collaboration with backend and frontend engineers is essential, requiring comfort in writing software beyond infrastructure boundaries.

Brigit offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $135,000 to $180,000, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, flexible PTO, and parental leave. The position is hybrid-based in New York City, allowing 2-3 days of remote work per week.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in platform engineering, containerization tools, and CI/CD systems, with proficiency in backend programming and cloud environments. This is an opportunity to join a high-growth company making a real impact on Americans' financial health while working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to developer productivity and system reliability.
