Junior R & D Software Engineer

VMware by Broadcom is seeking a Junior R&D Software Engineer to join their Security Intelligence team within the Application Networking and Security (ANS) division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge security and infrastructure solutions, focusing on distributed analytics engines that provide real-time insights into VCF deployments.

The position involves working with modern technologies including Kubernetes, Kafka, Apache Druid, Spark, and Redis, building solutions using Java Spring and Golang frameworks. You'll be developing features for network security, distributed systems, machine learning, and big data visualization, while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

As a Junior Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing highly performant features, participating in code reviews, and working on critical security features including network flows visualization, policy recommendation, and traffic anomalies detection. The role requires a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, with the bachelor's degree pathway requiring 2+ years of experience.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $81,000 to $130,000 annually, plus bonus and equity opportunities.
