Staff Software Engineer - Mainframe System Programmer

Broadcom's Mainframe Infrastructure team is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Mainframe System Programmer to join their team focused on Mainframe Operations. This role encompasses the entire range of development activities, from system programming to build, test, and delivery. The position offers a unique opportunity to impact the entire division by providing guidance, tools, and services to product development teams to accelerate the development process.

The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of z/OS system programming and maintenance, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an Operations/R&D team. This hands-on role requires both technical expertise and strong communication skills, as you'll be working across the division to implement and maintain continuous integration and deployment systems.

Key responsibilities include creating automated deployment infrastructures, integrating best system programming practices, and mentoring product teams. The role requires extensive experience with IBM Mainframe systems, z/OS, JCL, REXX, and HLASM, along with expertise in security, network, and storage management.

The position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $108,000 to $172,800 annually, plus discretionary bonus and equity opportunities.
