Are you passionate about learning new technology and solving complex problems for customers? VMware by Broadcom has a Technical Support role for you. As a Technical Support Engineer - Level 3, you will work on the latest technology to become an expert in the IT industry. You'll undergo substantial skills development & learning programs to expand your VMware virtualization technologies knowledge. You'll troubleshoot customer issues, support the team, and engage with account teams and engineering to deliver world-class technical support. Key responsibilities include resolving customer technical issues, supporting VCF Division, and continuously learning new technologies. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and experience with VMware products and cloud/virtualization technologies. You'll work in a collaborative environment with opportunities for career growth and development.

Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineer - Level 3

  • Resolve customer technical issues
  • Support the team and support operations
  • Troubleshoot and handle customer support requests
  • Work on escalated customer issues
  • Engage with account teams and managers
  • Collaborate with engineering teams
  • Develop skills through training and learning tools
  • Run case clinics for team members
  • Create and update knowledge articles
  • Provide formal root cause analysis
  • Facilitate proactive service and relationship development
  • Represent VMware in multi-vendor troubleshooting
  • Assist with software updates and migrations

Requirements For Technical Support Engineer - Level 3

Linux
  • 5+ years of Industry working experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Advanced knowledge of vSphere ESXi and vCenter Server
  • Experience in ESXi and vCenter deployments and upgrades
  • Expert in troubleshooting vSphere & vCenter Server
  • Expert knowledge in VMFS/NFS architecture
  • Experience with core vSphere features (HA/DRS/vMotion)
  • Certifications in Linux or Linux-enabled solutions
  • Experience with multiple database types (e.g., Postgres & MS SQL)
  • Knowledge in scripting languages (Python/PowerShell)
  • Ability to work in any shift during weekdays and weekends
