Bumble Inc., the parent company of popular dating and social networking apps like Bumble, Badoo, Fruitz, and Official, is seeking a passionate Senior iOS Engineer to join their Profile Experience team. This role is crucial in empowering fellow iOS Engineers and mobile teams to deliver and maintain high-quality product features across their apps.
As part of a high-performing, cross-functional team composed of iOS & Android engineers, a product owner, designers, and a data analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and innovation of the user experience. The Profile Experience team is critical in delivering engaging user experiences across Bumble, Badoo, and BFF apps, with a mission to empower users to create high-quality profiles throughout their journey.
In this role, you'll be hands-on with development, analyzing product specifications, designing implementations, writing code, and rapidly delivering iOS app feature designs. You'll also be responsible for monitoring performance metrics, contributing technical ideas, and driving product-related decisions. As a senior member of the team, you'll provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members while writing efficient, maintainable, and reusable code.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in iOS application development, particularly in delivering consumer-facing, mass-market, networked, high-performance iOS applications. You should be up-to-date with the latest Swift and iOS trends, have a strong understanding of iOS frameworks and design patterns, and be comfortable with performance profiling and continuous integration practices.

Responsibilities For Senior iOS Engineer
- Hands-on development: analyse product specifications, design implementations, write code, and rapidly deliver iOS app feature designs
- Mind performance metrics to draw conclusions and drive change
- Contribute technical ideas and suggestions to enhance the direction of the product
- Project ownership and driving process-related decisions
- Mentorship and guidance of junior team members
- Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code and tests
- Maintain build systems and write unit tests
- Work with QA in a weekly release cycle
- Be enthused about teamwork in an AGILE environment: attend daily stand-ups, plan and demo your projects
Requirements For Senior iOS Engineer
- Product-focused iOS application development experience
- Evidence of delivering consumer-facing, mass-market, networked, high-performance iOS applications available in the App Store
- Experience in leading processes and driving product-related decisions
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Swift and iOS trends
- Understanding of UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Animation, GCD & Networking
- Excellent understanding of design patterns & Object Oriented Programming
- Understanding of analytics, remote reporting, and measurements
- Experience of working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Unit Testing on iOS
- Experience performance profiling with instruments in Xcode
