Responsibilities For Software Engineer, SME

  • Design, develop, test, debug, implement, and integrate software solutions on multiple platforms and classified/unclassified networks
  • Use Agile and DevSecOps tools to develop software solutions
  • Analyze and implement software architecture models
  • Collaborate with USAREUR-AF and MPs for requirements gathering
  • Conduct system testing and submit release packages
  • Support software integration analysis and reporting
  • Provide expertise for system migrations including cloud transitions
  • Develop documentation, policies, and procedures following DoD guidelines
  • Mentor software engineers and developers
  • Manage and maintain Database Management Systems and servers

Requirements For Software Engineer, SME

  • 8-12 years of experience with BA/BS in related field preferred
  • Secret clearance required
  • Expert-level proficiency in software development across multiple platforms
  • Mastery of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps tools
  • Comprehensive knowledge of software architecture modeling
  • Advanced skills in system testing and release management
  • Experience in system migration and cloud transitions
  • Security certification required (CEH, CFR, Cloud+, SSCP, PenTest+, Security+, or GSEC)
  • Experience supporting NATO Allies Special Forces Command (desired)
  • Experience managing complex IT and communication system projects (desired)
