CACI is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Software Developer to join their team in Frederick, Maryland, supporting a Special Project for an Intelligence Community customer. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on critical national security projects using cutting-edge High Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
The position involves maintaining and evolving an existing suite of Modeling and Simulation applications that run on HPC systems. You'll be working on sophisticated simulations to forecast Chemical and Radiological hazard areas, utilizing tools like the Operational Multi-Scale Environment Model with grid Adaptivity (OMEGA) and supporting the Chemical Hazard Area Modeling Program (CHAMPS).
As a senior member of the team, you'll be responsible for backend software development in an Agile environment, handling system integration, program logic, database integration, ETL processes, and implementing security controls. The role requires expertise in HPC environments and experience with both Torque qsub and Slurm batch scheduling systems.
The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, math, or a medical field. A Top Secret SCI security clearance with a recent polygraph is required, reflecting the sensitive nature of the work. Strong programming skills, particularly in C Shell and Linux environments, are essential.
