Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Journeyman

  • Leverages software development platforms in the USSOUTHCOM IT portfolio to develop and sustain software and applications
  • Assists with the transition to automated tools
  • Conducts testing of platforms, systems, and interfaces
  • Supports maturation and facilitation of SW integration analysis and reporting
  • Develops Courses of Action (COAs) with Integrated Sustainment Engineering/Planning
  • Provides end-of-life replacement support

Requirements For Software Engineer, Journeyman

  • US Citizen with active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • One or more certifications from: Microsoft Azure Administrator, IEEE CSDP, Scrum Alliance, AWS Developer, Oracle OCP, CSSLP, Google Cloud Developer, Red Hat, or Software Engineering Master
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)
