Senior Software Engineer

Chime is seeking a strong engineer passionate about building scalable systems to join their Communication Platform team. In this role, you'll develop fullstack solutions, from backend infrastructure to defining messaging interfaces on apps for millions of members. As a foundational team member, you'll drive key architectural changes to power messaging for Chime's user base.

The Communication Platform team aims to provide a high-quality platform to help members work towards better financial health while accelerating development velocity within Chime. Each team member has a significant impact on the experience of millions of users.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, testing, releasing, and scaling changes to mobile and backend architecture
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve sophisticated problems
• Developing thoroughly tested code and conducting quality assurance
• Working both independently and in a team to deliver goals that accelerate development velocity and enhance user experience

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of fullstack development experience
• Backend development and framework experience (GraphQL, Ruby are a plus)
• Mobile development and framework experience (React Native is a bonus)
• Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating well with team members
• Understanding of architectural patterns for large-scale production services
• Passion for learning and sharing knowledge, self-motivation, and attention to detail
• Strong empathy for product users

Chime offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $139,600 to $174,500 USD, along with bonus potential, equity package, and comprehensive benefits.
