Senior Backend Developer

Clearstory is seeking a Senior Back-End Engineer to play a crucial role in advancing our mission of transforming the construction industry. This role involves expanding integrations with industry-leading financial solutions and driving the growth of our open API. You'll be responsible for enhancing existing integrations with partners like Procore, CMiC, Autodesk, HCSS, and Vista, while also developing new out-of-the-box integrations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with the Product Development team to define, create, and maintain our new API while supporting existing integrations.
• Developing comprehensive documentation for partners and customers to leverage our API.
• Optimizing API performance and reliability for high-volume data transactions.
• Implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Working closely with integration partners to solve problems and improve performance.

Strategic initiatives:

• Accelerating product roadmap by integrating with industry-leading ERP and project financial solutions.
• Enhancing existing integrations to provide more data and features for customers.
• Creating the next generation of our publicly available API for customer and industry partner integration.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software development experience in developing external APIs
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Golang
• Proven track record in delivering tuned SQL queries and optimized data store use
• Experience in breaking down complex problems and working out solutions in a team
• Extensive experience conducting peer code reviews
• Experience writing and executing test cases for code

Preferred skills:

• Node.js (TypeScript) experience
• Pub/sub experience
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines and SDLC concepts
• FinTech or ConTech experience
• Previous experience in the commercial construction industry
