Founding AI Engineer

Closure is an innovative startup focused on helping law enforcement solve crimes more efficiently through advanced data analysis and AI technology. As a Founding AI Engineer, you'll be joining a small but ambitious team of 4 people working to transform how law enforcement handles and processes data.

The company was founded in 2024 and is backed by Y Combinator (W25 batch). Led by experienced founders including Gilad Levy (former Israeli Air Force pilot with experience at Microsoft and other tech companies) and Aaron Zelinger (with background from Palantir and Arena), the team brings deep expertise in both technology and law enforcement domains.

You'll be working directly with law enforcement agencies to understand their needs and develop solutions that make their data more searchable and actionable. As one of the first technical hires, you'll have significant influence over the technical direction and architecture of the platform. The role offers competitive compensation ($125K-$200K salary with 0.20%-1.00% equity) and the flexibility to work remotely, though the company maintains presence in New York, San Francisco, and Illinois.
