In this role, you'll be part of our infrastructure group, responsible for building and maintaining our foundational infrastructure and internal developer platform. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies across multiple cloud platforms including Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, and OpenShift. The position offers an opportunity to work with Kubernetes, CI/CD services, and develop solutions that enhance developer productivity and infrastructure quality.
Your work will directly impact how efficiently developers at Cognite can build and deploy solutions. You'll be involved in everything from cloud infrastructure provisioning with Terraform to implementing observability and alerting systems. The tech stack includes modern tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Spinnaker for CI/CD, and Prometheus, Grafana, and Lightstep for monitoring.

Responsibilities For Infrastructure Software Engineer
- Develop robust infrastructure for deploying Cognite's products on multiple clouds (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS, and OpenShift)
- Develop internal developer platform to reduce friction and cognitive load for developers
- Work with engineering teams to improve and adapt services to run on Kubernetes
- Contribute to open source tools like Kubernetes, Emissary, Terraform, Prometheus, Spinnaker and Grafana
- Solve problems in network security, CI/CD, monitoring, tracing, authentication, and secret management
- Help shape the culture of the infrastructure team and Cognite
Requirements For Infrastructure Software Engineer
- Broad experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as code
- Experience building scalable solutions
- Cloud experience preferred
- Software development experience, preferably with Go or Python
- Familiarity with the tech stack
- Passionate about automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
