Collins Aerospace, a part of RTX, is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team in Richardson, TX. This role focuses on developing mission-critical systems within a Special Access Program (SAP) for Strategic Nuclear Deterrence.

The position requires hands-on software development for aerospace and defense systems, working with cutting-edge technology while ensuring the highest standards of security and reliability. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to implementation and testing.

  • Provide direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues
  • Develop design and implement software that satisfies customer and certification needs
  • Produce high-quality software builds in an integrated test environment
  • Derive software requirements, create UML design diagrams, and code solutions
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Senior and Principal level Software Engineers, mentoring junior engineers/interns

Requirements For Senior Embedded Software Engineer (ONSITE)

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or Advanced Degree with 3 years experience
  • Active and transferable SECRET U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Experience in Agile development methods, including Scrum, automated testing, and continuous integration
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
