ConnectOS is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Laravel & Vue Developer to join their team in a part-time remote capacity. This role focuses on developing and maintaining an inventory management system for an Australian online retailer of educational resources. The position offers a blend of technical challenges, working with modern technologies like Laravel, VueJS, and various APIs, while contributing to the education sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, and full-stack development, with particular emphasis on Laravel and Vue.js frameworks. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the existing system, implementing new features, and ensuring code quality and performance. A significant project includes upgrading the system from Laravel 5.4 to Laravel 11+ and PHP 7.1 to PHP 8+.

Responsibilities For Full-Stack Laravel & Vue Developer (AU Education & E-commerce, WFH) Part-time

  • Develop, extend, and maintain the company's custom-built inventory management system
  • Implement new features and improve existing functionality using Laravel & VueJS
  • Ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices
  • Integrate and manage third-party APIs (e.g., Neto API, Shopify API)
  • Work with SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance optimization
  • Identify and fix bugs, ensuring system stability and security
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting for performance improvements
  • Assist in the migration from Laravel 5.4 to Laravel 11+ and PHP 7.1 to PHP 8+
