Description For Lead Water Resources Engineer/Scientist - Science & Modeling

Craftwater is seeking a Lead Water Resources Engineer/Scientist for their Science & Modeling team. Responsibilities For Lead Water Resources Engineer/Scientist - Science & Modeling

  • Create usable, actionable information through collaborative and innovative approaches
  • Contribute to resource planning and design projects
  • Work on policy setting, water management, and green infrastructure initiatives
  • Conduct scientific research related to water resources
  • Participate in public education and outreach programs
  • Address environmental justice and equity issues in water resource management
  • Perform geospatial analysis of hydrologic datasets
  • Process and analyze large data sets
  • Develop and implement stormwater management and capture solutions
  • Translate complex findings into graphics and technical reports

Requirements For Lead Water Resources Engineer/Scientist - Science & Modeling

Python
  • Bachelor's degree (Master's Preferred) in environmental/civil engineering, environmental science, hydrology, water resource policy, or related field, or a minimum of 8 years' experience
  • Minimum 4 years in water resources or related field
  • Working knowledge of hydrology and water quality modeling and geospatial analysis of hydrologic datasets
  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS tools and their application, including geospatial analysis of both vector and raster datasets and fidelity in accurate processing
  • Proven experience processing and analyzing large data sets
  • Understanding of stormwater management & capture, green infrastructure, etc.
  • Proficient technical writing skills and ability to translate complex findings into graphics
  • Experience using Python or other coding system for automating large geospatial tasks and data set processing (preferred)
