Software Engineer - Backend

Databricks is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join their founding team in Belgrade, Serbia. This role is part of a multi-year journey to build the best Data Intelligence Platform, working on the company's Lakehouse vision. The position offers an opportunity to work on challenging problems spanning from product to infrastructure, including distributed systems, service architecture, and workflow orchestration.

As a founding member of the Belgrade site, you'll be involved in the entire development cycle, working on essential service platforms. You'll build reliable, secure, and high-performance services for handling massive amounts of data on cloud storage backends like AWS S3, GCS, and Azure Blob Store. The role requires expertise in distributed systems and service-oriented architectures, with a focus on developing scalable solutions for data storage and access.
