Description For Entertainment Tech and Programs Manager

The Entertainment Tech and Programs Manager at Disneyland Resort will oversee logistics and project management for the Live Entertainment Technical department. This role involves managing planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination for Stage Technicians and Show Services Cast in operating, maintaining, and sustaining high-complexity shows, spectaculars, and events. Key responsibilities include managing timelines and budgets, cross-functional collaboration, communicating with all levels of leadership, inspiring operational excellence, and driving continuous improvement. The position requires a focus on safety standards, preventive maintenance, and risk management. This role combines technical expertise with advanced project management skills, emphasizing efficient and fiscally responsible execution of live entertainment. The position may require working weekends, holidays, or overnight hours, specifically for 3rd shift (Graveyard). The ideal candidate will have experience in technical theater or maintenance, project management, and knowledge of live entertainment crafts including lighting, audio, automation, rigging, video processing, and special effects. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Theater, Fine Arts/Technical, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with at least 4 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities For Entertainment Tech and Programs Manager

  • Lead cutting-edge technical projects and innovations for complex shows and entertainment products
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans for live entertainment events
  • Perform as Duty Manager overseeing daily operations of Technical Services and Show Services
  • Manage cast development, coaching, and accountability
  • Collaborate with Entertainment Production and Operations teams
  • Facilitate production meetings and maintain venue standards
  • Create annual operating plans, five-year plans, and capital plans
  • Lead procurement processes for technical assets
  • Manage maintenance and operating guide programs
  • Oversee quality assurance processes and system testing
  • Ensure compliance with Company standards and regulations

Requirements For Entertainment Tech and Programs Manager

Linux
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Theater, Fine Arts/Technical, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of leader experience, leading hourly or salaried teams
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software and hardware tools for show control and show-action equipment
  • Experience with large-scale live event productions
  • In-depth understanding of signal flow, system integration, and troubleshooting in live environments
  • Project management experience for complex technical operations and maintenance
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements
  • Flexibility with work schedule, including weekends, holidays, and 3rd shift
  • Experience with budgeting and scheduling
  • Proficiency with software including MS Office, MS Teams, Smartsheet, Maximo, MyTime, D Tools HR
