Description For Lead Software Engineer - Back End

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join their User Foundations team, which builds critical User Capabilities shared across streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Star+. This role offers an opportunity to work at the heart of Disney's media technology, building infrastructure that powers their media, advertising, and distribution businesses.

The position involves designing and implementing reliable, high-throughput services and pipelines for gathering user information and delivering personalized experiences. As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll drive projects end-to-end, from initial solution design through deployment, while collaborating with engineers, project managers, and product managers to create optimal solutions for viewers.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in JVM services, caching technologies, and cloud infrastructure.
