Description For Manager, Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering - Ad Technology

Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology is seeking a Manager, Infrastructure & DevOps Engineering for their Ad Technology team. This role will lead team planning and coordination, ensure proper prioritization, maintain high quality standards, solve issues between teams, mentor team members, and guide technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure, software development, and container orchestration, with a focus on AWS and Azure environments. They will be responsible for building and automating mission-critical infrastructure, defining custom deployment pipelines, and troubleshooting performance issues. The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading team planning and coordination within each sprint
  • Coordinating with other Ad Platform teams to ensure proper prioritization
  • Maintaining high quality standards for scalable, secure, resilient, and reusable solutions
  • Navigating and solving issues between teams
  • Mentoring team members and participating in their growth as engineers
  • Guiding technical solutions to align with business needs and timelines

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years of cloud infrastructure experience
  • 8+ years of software development experience with languages like Java, C#, JavaScript, Go, Scala, or Python
  • 3+ years of experience with running containers on Kubernetes (EKS or AKS)
  • Advanced expertise in AWS and/or Azure, Service Mesh implementations, Terraform, automation, and DevOps workflows
  • SOX compliance and requirements familiarity
  • Experience with Spinnaker/Jenkins and Docker
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven leadership experience in growing engineers' careers and driving change
