Description For Manager, Red Team Operations

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Manager of Red Team Operations to lead their Global Information Security (GIS) team. This role will be instrumental in performing real-world threat emulation to improve organizational readiness and assess control performance for critical Disney assets. The position involves leading a team of skilled cybersecurity professionals, coordinating with senior leadership, and growing the program portfolio for the Red Team.

The role sits within Disney's Enterprise Technology mission, which focuses on delivering technology solutions that align with business strategies while enabling enterprise efficiency and promoting cross-company collaborative innovation. The GIS organization specifically strives to secure Disney's magic by employing best-in-class services to assess, prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats.

As Manager of Red Team Operations, you'll be responsible for supervising Red Team Operators, providing mentoring and coaching opportunities, and coordinating with senior leadership to plan and oversee security assessments. You'll manage the complete Red Team Operation execution lifecycle, from reconnaissance to exfiltration, while organizing reports and metrics for senior management.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of Red Team/Penetration Testing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role. Strong technical skills across various operating systems, networking protocols, and security tools are essential. The position offers a competitive salary range of $145,000-$223,600, along with comprehensive benefits including medical coverage and bonus opportunities.

  • Supervise Red Team Operators, provide mentoring and coaching

Requirements For Manager, Red Team Operations

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in Red Team/Penetration Testing activities
  • 3+ years of experience in a Leadership role
  • Experience with web application and network penetration testing
  • Experience with assessment tools/frameworks like Burp, Nessus, Metasploit
  • Experience customizing/developing in-house scripts and tooling
  • In-depth knowledge of operating systems (Unix/Linux, Windows, and Mac)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • One or more certifications: OSCP, GPEN, or GIAC
