The Media Systems Engineer II position focuses on architecting, designing, and constructing the varied technical platforms that power our linear and digital platforms. This role is crucial in transforming Disney's capability and flexibility in acquiring, producing, and distributing content worldwide while ensuring the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and resiliency.
As a Media Systems Engineer II, you'll work at the intersection of hardware and software-based technology, requiring comprehensive theoretical and practical understanding of technology that powers the generation, monetization, and distribution of all forms of consumer-facing linear and digital video/audio content. You'll be responsible for numerous systems including Playout Technology, Studios, Production Control Rooms, Remote Production, Post-Production, Contribution/Distribution Systems, Networking, Cloud Compute, and Production Software.
