Platform Engineer

This Platform Engineer role sits within the International Application Services (IAS) team, focused on providing business technology solutions across Disney's global brands and markets.

As a Platform Engineer, you'll be part of Enterprise Technology, delivering technology solutions that align with business strategies while enabling enterprise efficiency and driving cross-functional innovation. The role involves working with both development expertise and operational knowledge, partnering with Software Engineering, Security, Sustainment, Business Architecture, and IT Operations teams.

You'll play a crucial role in influencing how we build, deploy, and manage applications, with a unique opportunity to contribute to our cloud adoption strategy and help modernize our legacy systems. The position requires hands-on involvement throughout the Software Development Life Cycle while championing DevOps principles.

Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, resolving production issues, leading technical recovery during outages, monitoring system performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You'll work with technologies like Microsoft Azure, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and various CI/CD tools.
