Principal Platform Engineer, Infrastructure & Tooling for Services, Data, and GenAI

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead innovation across cloud platforms supporting both data and software engineering teams. In this role, you'll design secure, scalable systems that accelerate delivery without compromising quality.

As a senior technical expert, you'll drive the architecture and evolution of AWS-based infrastructure, champion cloud-native CI/CD practices, and build automation and internal tooling that empower developers. You'll explore GenAI applications to streamline workflows and collaborate with security, DevOps, SRE, and application teams to improve developer experience and operational efficiency.

The role involves designing resilient AWS infrastructure, leading Kubernetes (EKS) adoption, architecting secure networks, owning CI/CD automation, and driving infrastructure-as-code practices. You'll also lead AIOps initiatives and serve as a technical SME during incidents.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $184,300 to $270,700 depending on location, plus bonus potential and comprehensive benefits. You'll be part of Disney's media technology transformation, working with industry-leading ad technology and products across sports, news, and entertainment platforms.
