Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Activation team to build and maintain data sharing platforms. The role focuses on developing scalable, fault-tolerant data products for both real-time and batch data processing. The team works with cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, and Spark, using languages like Scala, Python, SQL, and Java.

Requirements For Senior Software Engineer - Activation

Python
Java
  • Minimum of 5 years of related software development experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with Python, Scala, or Java
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with Spark
  • Strong experience with complex SQL development
  • Familiar with Docker and containerization technologies
  • Familiar with Airflow or equivalent schedulers
  • Strong software design principles
  • Experience mentoring and leading junior engineers
  • Experience with testing tools
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or comparable field
