Description For Software Engineer, Full Stack

Disney Experiences (DX) Technology combines custom and vendor technology solutions with creativity to produce robust applications that enhance all aspects of the Cast Member and Theme Park Guest experience. As a Software Engineer on the Lodging Technology Experiences team, you will be building innovative solutions by creating and executing strategic technical direction in support of the Disneyland Resort technology portfolio. The ideal candidate has a proven track-record of integrating complex vendor-hosted SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement SaaS vendor product integration, cloud integration, and application integration
  • Communicate with both technical and business users
  • Design, develop, and deliver technology solutions
  • Perform code reviews and set up best practices
  • Participate in the design process of new features
  • Work independently and deliver on agreed upon timelines
  • Demonstrate strong practice of agile development
  • Create and follow programming guidelines
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Exercise creativity to evaluate business needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of related software engineering experience
  • Proficient in Java, JavaScript (Nodejs), and modern web frameworks (e.g. Angular)
  • Experience with microservices, RESTful Web Services or APIs
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design principles
  • Experience with event-driven architecture
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing and continuous integration
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Property Management System in a SaaS environment
  • Experience with hotel room key technology
  • Experience in mobile application development
  • Experience in payment integration
  • Experience with Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP)
  • Experience in grand opening of a new hotel property
  • Experience in IoT in the hospitality industry

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Anaheim, California is $114,900.00-$154,100.00 per year, with additional benefits and potential bonuses.
