Responsibilities For Oracle Data Engineer
- Develop, maintain, and debug complex SQL queries within Oracle databases
- Design and implement data integration and movement solutions using ETL tools like Informatica
- Understand, read, and validate COBOL and Pro*C code
- Perform shell scripting (K-Shell, Bash) and work in Linux or AIX environments
- Apply knowledge of data modeling, domain-driven design, and data structures
- Collaborate within DevOps frameworks, supporting CI/CD processes
- Work with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
- Support critical applications with troubleshooting
Requirements For Oracle Data Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and analytics
- 7+ years working with relational databases, preferably Oracle
- Strong expertise in SQL, capable of writing and debugging advanced queries
- 5+ years of experience with Informatica or comparable ETL tools
- 5+ years of hands-on shell scripting experience
- Proficiency in Linux or AIX systems
- Ability to read and understand COBOL and Pro*C programs
