Description For Mobile Automation QA Engineer

EarnIn, a pioneer in earned wage access, is seeking a passionate and experienced mobile automation-focused QA engineer for a one-year contract with potential extension or conversion. This role involves designing and developing test automation for our mobile apps, ensuring product quality and improving user experience. You'll work on interesting Fintech problems, making a real difference in customers' lives.

The position is ideally hybrid from our Bengaluru office. EarnIn offers excellent benefits, including healthcare, internet/cell phone reimbursement, a learning and development stipend, and potential travel opportunities to our Palo Alto HQ.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and executing test plans for iOS and Android apps
  • Conducting manual and automated testing
  • Identifying and tracking software defects
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Performing regression testing
  • Developing automated test scripts using Espresso and UIAutomation
  • Monitoring app performance and providing improvement insights
  • Participating in Agile ceremonies
  • Continuously improving testing processes and technologies

We're looking for candidates with:

  • 3+ years of mobile testing experience
  • Ability to design and maintain test automation frameworks
  • Experience with UI Automation (iOS) and Espresso (Android)
  • Skills in creating and automating test cases
  • Ability to root cause automation test and app failures
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle and release metrics
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

Responsibilities For Mobile Automation QA Engineer

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure the quality of the mobile applications
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members
  • Perform regression testing
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Espresso and UIAutomation
  • Monitor application performance and provide insights for improvements
  • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings
  • Continuously improve testing processes, techniques, and technologies

Requirements For Mobile Automation QA Engineer

  • 3+ years of experience working with mobile testing
  • Ability to define, design, develop & maintain test automation frameworks
  • Experience using industry-standard mobile testing tools like UI Automation for iOS and/or Espresso for Android
  • Ability to identify and root cause Automation test and app failures
  • Knowledge of Product life cycle, release metrics, and goals
  • Must be able to identify and learn new technologies quickly
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required
