Description For Autonomy Integration Engineer

EpiSci, a pioneering company in tactical mission autonomy, is seeking an Autonomy Integration Engineer to join their Networked Collaborative Autonomy team. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and autonomous systems, specifically focusing on integrating autonomy behaviors for large teams of heterogeneous autonomous vehicles.

The position involves working with cutting-edge technology across multiple domains including surface and air vehicles, implementing various sensor suites such as cameras and radar systems. You'll be responsible for developing and integrating autonomy services that interface with device drivers and firmware for peripheral hardware, while also supporting testing and demonstration of these systems in real-world scenarios.

This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in embedded systems and autonomous vehicle technology. You'll need at least 2 years of experience working with UAS autopilots, along with expertise in embedded compute platforms like NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi. The position requires a blend of technical skills including Linux/Windows proficiency, containerization experience, and comfort with remote software development.

The role is based in Destin, FL, with relocation assistance available. The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 annually. As this role involves work in the defense sector, candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible for security clearance. The position involves approximately 10-20% travel for software/hardware integration and demonstrations.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about autonomous systems and eager to work on projects that push the boundaries of what's possible in tactical mission autonomy. You'll be part of a team that's revolutionizing autonomous vehicle technology across multiple domains, working with state-of-the-art hardware and software systems.
