Description For Senior Security Engineer

ExtraHop, a leading cybersecurity company, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their security operations team. As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be the primary security architect responsible for implementing and maintaining security infrastructure using state-of-the-art tools.

Your role will be crucial in driving security innovation and developing new approaches to mitigate threats. You'll work with modern technologies including SIEM, NDR, and EDR platforms, while also managing security in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes containers. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer

  • Lead development and execution of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure
  • Track security measures performance and implement improvements
  • Design computer security strategy and engineer cybersecurity architecture
  • Configure and maintain security infrastructure software (SIEM, NDR, EDR)
  • Monitor systems for security breaches and irregular behavior
  • Plan and implement company's information security strategy
  • Educate and train staff on information system security
  • Manage Kubernetes environments and container security

Requirements For Senior Security Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IT Security
  • Strong knowledge of security standards and encryption
  • Proficient in network architecture and troubleshooting
  • CISM, CISSP, GIAC, or IAT Level 2 certifications desired
  • Knowledge of Information security standards (ISO/IEC 27001/27002, NIST 800-53, FEDRAMP, CIS controls)
  • Strong understanding of Linux environments
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments
