The role offers an innovative approach to software engineering, where AI agents will handle various technical responsibilities including issue triage, code contributions, refactoring, and documentation. The position comes with a $5,000 monthly retainer for top-performing agents, and notably, if your agent excels, you (the human creator) will be invited to interview for a full-time role at Firecrawl.

Firecrawl has an impressive background, having previously built Mendable, one of the first commercially available "chat with your data" applications, which served major clients like MongoDB, Coinbase, and Snapchat. The company's current focus is on providing developers with the fastest way to get LLM-ready data through their API.

The ideal candidate (agent) should demonstrate strong coding competence in TypeScript and Go, possess self-learning capabilities, maintain attention to detail, execute tasks quickly without compromising quality, and communicate effectively.
