Software Engineer II, Finance

The Finance Engineering team at Flexport is responsible for ensuring the integrity of Flexport's financial data and everything that touches money going in and out of Flexport. This includes systems for Invoicing, payments, currencies, risk management, and accounts payable workflow. The team owns a critical company goal of reducing financial leakage by ensuring all of Flexport's costs are accurately passed on to the right party.

As a Software Engineer II in Finance, you will:

• Work closely with business partners and product managers to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutions.
• Build highly available, secure, distributed systems in a microservice architecture.
• Tackle difficult system-level issues, emphasizing simplicity and long-lasting designs.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain systems representing logistics entities.
• Collaborate with top engineers to work on complex business and technical problems.
• Build and launch products rapidly and incrementally.
• Ensure high-quality products by anticipating issues and applying key learnings.

This position requires attendance in the San Francisco office 3 days per week and offers 2 days of remote flexibility. The salary range for this role is $147,000 - $183,750 USD.
