Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in 3D CAD, finite element analysis, and both air and liquid cooling systems. They will be involved in the ongoing development of Fluence's energy storage products, focusing on mechanical design for lithium-ion batteries in utility-scale projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in project site root cause analysis
  • Interfacing with customers to resolve installation and commissioning concerns
  • Performing structural FEA analysis
  • Working independently while collaborating effectively with team members
  • Presenting ideas clearly to internal and external audiences
  • Contributing to challenging projects with ownership and creativity

The role requires proficiency in various software tools, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO, and MS Office suite. Experience with Battery Energy Management Systems and 3D modeling is essential. The position involves up to 40% travel, including international trips, and requires flexibility to work across different time zones.
