We're seeking an Automation Engineer III to join our team in Brisbane, California. In this role, you'll develop automated solutions for cancer diagnostic blood testing and drive our company towards product commercialization.
As an Automation Engineer III, you'll work with cutting-edge technology in our clinical laboratory, collaborating closely with various teams to evaluate and implement new technologies, develop automated workflows, and continuously improve lab performance and efficiency. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key responsibilities include creating and optimizing liquid handling and robotic methods, troubleshooting and investigating clinical lab processes, and supporting sample processing in a regulated setting. You'll also play a crucial role in defining project requirements, setting timelines, and establishing acceptance criteria for automation projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life sciences, with at least 4 years of laboratory experience, particularly in high-throughput environments. Familiarity with liquid handling and automation scheduling software, as well as experience with genomic/molecular biology workflows, is essential. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, biochemistry, or a related field is required.
