Description For Junior Software Developer

GDIT is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their SMAVCS4 Contract supporting the Environmental Protection Agency's Center for Computational Toxicology & Exposure (CCTE). This full-stack development role focuses on front-end web application development and testing, working with technologies like Vue.js, Nuxt, React, and Next.js.

The position offers an excellent opportunity for entry to mid-level developers to work on meaningful projects that help evaluate potential health and environmental risks from chemical exposures. Working in a distributed team across six US locations, the role requires strong self-direction and familiarity with remote work best practices.

The compensation package is competitive, ranging from $62,962 to $78,200, with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) matching, health insurance, and paid time off. GDIT provides a flexible work environment and opportunities for professional growth through paid education and certifications.

As part of a 30,000-strong global technology company, you'll contribute to projects that create immediate value and deliver solutions at the innovation's edge. The role combines technical expertise with the opportunity to make a real impact on environmental protection and public health through technology.

Working in an Agile/Scrum environment, you'll collaborate with senior developers and EPA teams, handle QA testing, create documentation, and contribute to large-scale projects. This position is ideal for someone who combines technical skills with strong communication abilities and a dedication to public service.
