Responsibilities For Design Engineer - Electromechanical

  • Lead and support engineering activities for large scale product development programs
  • Investigate feasibility, perform design using 3-D modeling software
  • Conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation
  • Analyze and resolve complex problems independently
  • Create part specification requirements and BOM
  • Negotiate with component business units and suppliers
  • Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection
  • Improve product and processes using best practices
  • Search new ways to increase efficiency and reduce design costs
  • Travel to client sites required

Requirements For Design Engineer - Electromechanical

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years industry experience in Electromechanical systems
  • Education in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, or Manufacturing
  • Experience using 3-D modeling software Solidworks
  • CATIA V5 or V6 skills preferred
  • Experience in Medical/Automotive domain developing electromechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of DFM for plastics and sheet metal components
  • Ability to identify components and evaluate technical requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office
