Sr. Backend Engineer (Kotlin, Calcite)

GoodData, a leading cloud-based analytics platform, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their dynamic international team. This role offers the flexibility of hybrid work from either Brno or Prague offices. The position is centered around building a product-oriented Analytical Stack, where you'll work closely with Product Managers, Architects, and QA teams.

The tech stack is impressively modern, primarily utilizing Kotlin and Python for backend development, with a focus on microservices architecture. The team leverages cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes, Apache Calcite, Apache Arrow, DuckDB, Pandas, and Polars for high-performance data processing. You'll be working on developing the Kotlin and Apache Calcite-based Analytic Query Engine, tackling the challenges of distributed systems, and contributing to both internal and public API design.
