AI/ML Engineer, National Security, Google Public Sector

Google Public Sector is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join their National Security team in Reston, VA. This role combines deep technical expertise in machine learning with customer-facing responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical challenges and client interaction. The position offers a competitive base salary range of $147,000-$216,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

The role requires guiding National Security customers in implementing AI and ML solutions, including architecture guidance, best practices, and deployment of machine learning models. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies including Large Language Models (LLMs), retrieval augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and various ML frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow.

As an AI/ML Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting customer implementations of Google Cloud products, consulting on AI solution design, and traveling to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops. The position requires a unique combination of technical expertise in machine learning, customer engagement skills, and security clearance, reflecting its importance in supporting national security initiatives.
