  • Develop theoretical and numerical noise models of neutral atom systems, incorporating relevant AMO physics principles
  • Collaborate with other theorists to analyze the performance of quantum error correction codes using theoretical models and simulations
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in AMO physics and quantum error correction
  • Identify new and upcoming research areas by interacting with potential external and internal collaborators
  • Author research papers to share and generate impact of research results in the research community

Requirements For AMO Quantum Error Correction Research Scientist, Quantum AI

  • PhD degree in Physics, Quantum Information, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience leading a research agenda
  • Experience with the physics of neutral atom quantum computing
  • Experience with software development and simulating quantum systems
  • Experience in theoretical quantum physics
  • One or more scientific publication submission(s)
  • Experience with C++ or other programming languages
  • Experience with quantum error correction (QEC) experimental implementations
  • Experience in software engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with quantum information theory and quantum error correction
