Google Cloud is seeking a Cloud Engineer for their Platform and Infrastructure team to guide customers through their cloud journey. As part of the Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team, you'll help businesses transform and evolve using Google's global network, web-scale data centers, and software infrastructure.
In this role, you'll provide exceptional technical guidance to customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. This includes offering best practices on secure foundational cloud implementations, automated provisioning of infrastructure and applications, and cloud-ready application architectures. You'll ensure customers have the best experience in migrating, building, modernizing, and maintaining applications in GCP.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure
- Designing and implementing Cloud-based technical architectures
- Acting as a technical advisor and troubleshooter for customer challenges
- Creating best practice recommendations, tutorials, and sample code
- Traveling up to 30% within the region for on-site activities
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), 4+ years of experience in DevOps and infrastructure automation, and fluency in both English and Spanish. Experience with GCP techniques, containerization, and IT security practices is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Cloud Engineer, Platform and Infrastructure
- Provide domain expertise in cloud platforms and infrastructure, solving complex cloud platform challenges
- Work with customers to design and implement Cloud based technical architectures, migration approaches, and application optimizations that enable business objectives
- Be a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers
- Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, and sample code
- Travel up to 30% in-region for meetings, technical reviews, and onsite delivery activities
Requirements For Cloud Engineer, Platform and Infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery
- Experience designing cloud enterprise solutions and supporting customer projects to completion
- Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, C or C++) including data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in this region
