Description For Customer Engineer, Chrome Operating System

As a Customer Engineer for Chrome Operating System at Google, you will play a crucial role in equipping companies with Google tools to enhance workplace technology. Your focus will be on making technology more equitable, simple, secure, and shareable, allowing businesses to concentrate on their core priorities. This customer-facing position requires fluency in Korean for local stakeholder interactions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying customer business and technical requirements
  2. Developing solution proposals that address customer needs
  3. Collaborating with the Sales team to accelerate the adoption of Chrome Enterprise
  4. Resolving technical objections and making recommendations on implementation strategies
  5. Leading technical aspects of solution evaluations

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in pre-sales engineering or similar partner-facing roles
  • Experience with managed endpoint devices and browser-based applications
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solutions
  • Familiarity with Public Cloud platforms
  • Experience in architecting software deployment for enterprises
  • Understanding of localization issues, particularly related to Korean IME and keyboard mapping

  • Identify customers business and technical requirements

  • Work with the Sales team to guide and accelerate the transition of companies to Chrome Enterprise
  • Identify key customer technical objections and develop strategies to resolve technical impediments
  • Lead technical aspects of solution evaluations including product briefings and proof-of-concept facilitation

Requirements For Customer Engineer, Chrome Operating System

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience working in a pre-sales engineer or similar partner facing role
  • Experience as a member of a professional services or systems engineering team
  • Fluency in Korean for local stakeholder interactions
