Data Center Facilities Engineer/Technician, Mechanical

Google is seeking a Data Center Facilities Engineer/Technician to join their Data Center team, which designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC systems globally. The position requires 5 years of Mechanical/HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial environment, along with relevant technical education or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of data center operations, including experience with chillers, air handling units, CRAC units, power systems, and various mechanical components.

Key responsibilities include ensuring system uptime, conducting root cause analysis, leading commissioning activities, and driving efficiency improvements. The role involves hands-on work with mechanical equipment, requiring the ability to handle materials up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions using appropriate safety equipment.
