Responsibilities For Data Center Plant Engineer
- Lead efforts to test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for critical equipment operation
- Own efforts to perform compliance activities for data centers globally
- Lead efforts to monitor data center systems operations and control site activities
- Lead efforts to ensure all sites are following facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally
- Own the development of strategies to keep operational costs to a minimum and improve efficiency
Requirements For Data Center Plant Engineer
- Trade school qualification or certification in a related field
- 10 years of experience in HVAC, electrical, controls, water chemistry, generators, mechanical, or other similar technical domain
- 5 years of experience in a data center or facilities environment
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment
- Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard tools
- Ability to communicate with contractors
