Google is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering professional to join their Product Operations team within the supply chain organization, focusing on new product development in Networking and Optics. This role is part of Google's Platforms Team, which designs and builds the hardware, software, and networking technologies powering all of Google's services.
The position involves working closely with Platform Infrastructure Engineering, External Vendors/Suppliers, other Supply chain teams, and EMS/JDM partners. The role is critical in developing and maintaining Google's data centers and building next-generation Google platforms.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be responsible for leading technical reviews, supporting pre-production builds, managing technology assessments for new products, and collaborating with Quality and Reliability Engineers. The role requires expertise in high-speed optical and copper network infrastructure design and testing methodologies.
The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $115,000-$166,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant work experience, strong technical knowledge of data center networking topology, and experience with ODMs and contract manufacturers. Additional preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, programming skills in Python or SQL, and understanding of CMOS devices and fabrication processes.
