Principal Engineer, Google SecOps

Google SecOps is an advanced cybersecurity platform within Google Cloud focused on helping enterprises detect and prevent cyber attacks. As a Principal Engineer in the SecOps team, you will play a crucial role in scaling the platform 10X while supporting complex enterprise environments. The position involves leading architectural design, integrations with GCP/Alphabet services and external partners, and optimizing threat detection capabilities.

You will work directly with the Engineering Director, Product Director and other Principal Engineers to enhance the platform's capabilities in protecting large enterprises and governments worldwide. The role requires deep expertise in both security and distributed systems, with a focus on availability, security, and compliance of global-scale systems.

Key responsibilities include developing long-term technical strategies, evolving architecture to support cross-product features, driving innovation in security operations, and building strong technical leadership through mentoring. You'll collaborate with senior management, engineering leaders across GCP, and external partners while working closely with customers to understand and meet their security needs.
