Google Cloud Storage is a fundamental product used by customers for transformational innovation in AI/ML, Analytics, Data Protection, and Content Serving. As a Product Manager for Cloud Storage Security and Governance, you'll be responsible for building products and capabilities that address data protection and privacy needs of customers across all countries and geo-political boundaries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving strategy, idea, and execution of security and governance capabilities
- Defining product requirements for new features and releases
- Managing feature/release life-cycle with engineering and other stakeholders
- Accelerating adoption and business growth through partnerships
- Understanding challenges and opportunities of building a large-scale service
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role
- 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
- 2 years of experience in product management and data storage
- Experience with product development in systems
Preferred qualifications include experience in building and launching new products in data privacy and data protection.

Responsibilities For Product Manager, Cloud Storage Security and Governance
- Drive strategy, idea, and execution of security and governance capabilities
- Define product requirements for new features and releases
- Drive feature/release life-cycle working with engineering, other product areas (e.g., Cloud Security) and other stakeholders
- Accelerate adoption and business growth by partnering with cross-product area teams, account teams, and solution teams
- Understand the challenges and opportunities associated with building a service for the scale of the team
