Senior Developer Relations Engineer

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Developer Relations Engineer to drive mindshare and enable customer success through participation in external technical communities, product feedback, external outreach, and enablement. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in software engineering and cloud technologies, with excellent communication skills to engage with developer communities both locally and globally.

As a Senior Developer Relations Engineer, you will be part community manager and part developer advocate, collaborating with developers at conferences and online. You'll write sample code, participate in developer forums, and troubleshoot coding problems. Internally, you'll work with product engineering teams to improve Google Cloud products by conveying feedback from developers, reviewing API designs, and testing new features.

Your role will involve advocating for the developer community internally, influencing Google Cloud product strategy, and fostering an inclusive work environment. You'll synthesize feedback to drive continuous improvement of Google Cloud Platform products and the overall user experience. Participation in relevant technical communities as a practitioner will be crucial to understanding their needs and building a thriving external ecosystem of influencers, meetups, and experts.

Key responsibilities include representing the needs of technical communities throughout the product lifecycle, from design discussions to post-launch updates. You'll also work closely with Product and Engineering teams to define product strategies and craft narratives around new products and features.
