Description For Senior Program Manager, Demand Planning and Forecasting

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

As a Senior Program Manager for Demand Planning and Forecasting, you will be responsible for developing and refining demand forecasting models, collaborating with vendor partners and internal teams to create supply plans, capturing and analyzing customer needs, guiding the team in defining and managing hardware configurations, and developing pricing models and cost estimates. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure forecasts, plans, and priorities are aligned with the overarching goal of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include: • Develop and refine demand forecasting models that prioritize customer needs and preferences, integrating insights from sales, marketing, engaged analysis, and market trends. • Collaborate with vendor partners and internal teams to create supply plans that meet forecast demand and build in buffers for unforeseen circumstances, ensuring uninterrupted product availability. • Capture and analyze customer needs in detail, translating them into clear specifications and data insights that inform the entire supply chain. • Guide the team in defining and managing hardware configurations (SKUs) that are flexible enough to meet diverse customer requirements while maintaining supply chain efficiency. • Develop pricing models and cost estimates that are transparent and easy for Sales teams to communicate, enabling accurate customer quotes. • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure forecasts, plans, and priorities are aligned with the overarching goal of customer satisfaction.

This role requires a strong background in supply chain management, operations management, or business administration, with a focus on demand planning and forecasting in the technology industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud computing technologies and infrastructure, and familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products and services.
