Senior Software Engineer, Intelligence Systems

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Intelligence Systems team, focusing on developing threat intelligence solutions to protect Google's products and users. This role combines high-scale distributed systems engineering with machine learning to build sophisticated security solutions. The position is part of Google's Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products.

The role involves working on critical threat intelligence solutions that safeguard business-critical products, including GenAI-based experiences. You'll be designing and implementing sophisticated systems including rules engines, vector databases, scalable classifiers, and content processing pipelines. The position requires collaboration with a global team across North America, Europe, and LATAM.

As a senior engineer, you'll lead key projects involving multiple engineers over multiple quarters, bringing together technical expertise in distributed systems, machine learning, and security. The role offers the opportunity to work on solutions that directly impact the safety and security of billions of users while being part of Google's core technical infrastructure team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software development, data structures/algorithms, and preferably background in content safety, threat intelligence, or Responsible AI.
