Software Engineer III, Google Play

Google Play is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Analytics team, which is responsible for all analytics data, solutions, and tooling for data-driven decisions across Google Play, one of Google's fastest-growing businesses. The role involves working on Analytics Infrastructure that powers critical Play Store launches and empowers reporting and business analysis at VP and CFO level visibility.

The position requires expertise in software development, data structures, and algorithms. You'll be working on large-scale systems, developing infrastructure for log processing, visualization tools, and monitoring systems. The role involves close collaboration with Data Science teams, Product Managers, TPMs, Engineers, Product Analysts, and Privacy/Legal teams.

As part of the Android and Mobile team, you'll contribute to Google Play's ecosystem, which offers music, movies, books, apps, and games for devices, powered by the cloud. The platform syncs across devices and the web, enabling seamless user experiences like buying an ebook on an Android phone and instantly accessing it on a laptop.

The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills, experience with performance optimization, and the ability to work on large-scale systems. You'll be responsible for writing product code, participating in design reviews, reviewing other developers' code, contributing to documentation, and troubleshooting system issues.
