Description For Staff Coherent Memory System Architect, Silicon

Google is seeking a Staff Coherent Memory System Architect to join their Silicon team, focusing on shaping the future of coherent memory systems for consumer Security Operation Centers (SoCs). This role combines advanced hardware architecture with Google's mission to organize world's information and make it universally accessible.

The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology, developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. You'll be responsible for creating the most advanced, power-efficient, and performance-optimized mobile coherent systems, directly impacting the performance and innovation of next-generation devices.

As a Staff Architect, you'll collaborate with hardware designers and validation teams, leveraging your expertise in microarchitecture and design to build and test hardware architectures. The role involves exploring and evaluating different microarchitecture choices, authoring specifications, and analyzing performance trade-offs for coherent memory systems.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in ASIC design, microarchitecture analysis, and RTL implementation. Responsibilities For Staff Coherent Memory System Architect, Silicon

  • Explore and evaluate different microarchitecture and design choices for power and performance efficient coherent memory systems
  • Author hardware microarchitecture specification for next-generation coherent memory systems
  • Analyze performance and power trade-offs
  • Work with hardware design, verification, emulation and validation teams to build and test the hardware architecture

Requirements For Staff Coherent Memory System Architect, Silicon

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in microarchitecture and design of ASIC blocks
  • Experience in micro-architecture performance analysis, tools, and simulators
  • Experience in designing or implementing RTL for one or more blocks: CPUs, GPUs, caches, MMUs, or coherent fabrics
